Due to a land-slide in Sri Lanka, many people lost their houses after the soil on top of mountains let loose and dragged away entire villages at a time. The families were not only without housing, but therewith also lost access to food, water and clothing. Daily life was disruptured and action had to be taken immediately.
Boost Foundation gave the necessary funding by means of a crowdfund. And with success.
The campaign on WhyDonate brought in roughly 600 euros, which were then spent on sending a truckload of food, water, clothing to the victims.
